Offered for sale is this 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe, finished in Meridian Silver Metallic over a Boxster Red leather interior, powered by a 3.6-liter twin turbo flat-six engine, running power to all four wheels through an six-speed manual transmission, with 38,260 miles on the odometer as of this writing. We are happy to offer yet another great example of the 911, here in its 996 chassis turbo form. As the first 911 to offer a fully water-cooled engine, we know there was some controversy for the 996 at the time compared to all the air-cooled 911 predecessors, but over time these have appreciated in value for good reason. The platform itself is stout, and the Metzger engine is legendarily durable, with both it and the drivetrain capable of handling much more power and holding up very well as they age. The powerful engine does have more of an old-school character with a proper shove as the turbos ramp up to full boost, giving the car a more involved analog feel compared to newer versions, both thrilling and controllable. This example of the 911 Turbo is very well optioned, with the Meridian Silver metallic over Boxster Red Leather, and cosmetic additions including the Hamann modular five spoke wheels and carbon fiber interior accents. A comprehensive mechanical inspection was performed prior to sale, with all services on this low mileage 996 turbo up to date.
