Offered for sale is this 2004 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet, finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a black leather interior, powered by a 3.6 liter twin turbocharged flat-six cylinder engine, running power to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. This 996 chassis Turbo Cabriolet has 42,000 miles on the odometer, and is in excellent condition. The 996 chassis of the 911 was the first to offer a water-cooled engine – and along with updated styling, proved controversial at the time for Porsche traditionalists. Now that people have accepted the addition of radiators to 911’s, the 996 has gained in popularity as it ages – especially in all-wheel drive turbo form. While not as raw as the air-cooled 993 Turbo it replaced, the upgraded interior and chassis made it a capable GT, while also being substantially faster than the 993. These are incredibly capable and fast GT cars in all conditions, and feel like true 911’s in how they operate. While values for all 911’s hold very well, the 996’s are gaining as people realize what incredible values they are, and in Turbo form, feature Mezger engines that are renowned for being stout and reliable. This example has low mileage and is well optioned from the factory.
